The School of Data Science Faculty Advisory Council advises the SDS Director about the school's institutional plans and resource commitments to help fulfill its mission and realize its vision.

The Council is made up of faculty members who are focused on data-driven discovery and teaching in their discipline from the eight UTSA colleges. The Faculty Council is responsible for attending monthly meetings, informing, reviewing, and evaluating progress within the School of Data Science, serving on specific SDS programs, and helping develop SDS-led interdisciplinary research proposals. Faculty are invited to serve two-year terms.
