UTSA Draper Data Science Business Plan Competition

In the first annual UTSA Draper Data Science Business Plan Competition, prizes were awarded to four teams, three of which were comprised of UTSA students. The competition featured six finalists who presented their business plans to a panel of judges on Friday, April 21, 2023. The prizes offered ranged from $5,000 to $30,000.

This competition, which highlighted data science and its relationship with entrepreneurship, was made possible by a $1 million donation from Timothy Draper, a third-generation venture capitalist, and his wife, Melissa Parker Draper.  Next year's competition is set for Friday, April 12, 2024.
