Digital Signage at San Pedro I

UTSA uses digital signage to visually showcase events, announcements, deadlines and information on flat panel screens located across UTSA's campuses.  It's a cost-effective, eco-friendly and efficient way to widely distribute your information and strategic messaging to the university community and visitors.

We only accept and review digital signage submissions from across the university for possible rotation on the San Pedro I playlist.

Before you submit, please ensure your content meets the following requirements:

Messaging

  • Timely
  • Audience includes students, visitors, and event and venue clients
  • Supports students’ personal/professional growth and academic success
  • Includes your UTSA sub-branded logo

Images

  • Sized to exactly 1920px long by 1080px tall (to fit horizontal/landscape screens)
  • Sized to exactly 1080px long by 1920px tall (to fit vertical/portrait screens)
  • JPG, PNG or GIF format
  • Follow UTSA visual style guidelines

Videos

  • High-definition
  • MP4, MOV or another standard video file format
  • Animated text is preferred over regular video
  • No longer than 30 seconds
  • Sound is not audible on screens. If video includes speaking, closed captioning must be included.
Best Practices
  • Your goal is to be able to capture the attention of a person walking past a screen in 10 seconds.
  • To be most effective, your image/video should run for at least two (2) weeks.
  • Use UTSA Orange (PMS 1665; HEX #f15a22) and UTSA Blue (PMS 289; HEX #0c2340) as your primary colors.
  • For legibility, please use 24 pt. or larger font size. Keep text copy to a minimum!
  • QR codes are acceptable for digital signage at San Pedro I due to screens at eye level.

SUBMIT YOUR SIGNAGE REQUESTS

The playlist is updated regularly. Please submit your image/video assets at least 3 days before you want it to appear in rotation on the screens. Updates to the system can take up to 24 hours to display.
